The snow and cold could not keep the loyal Bunco ladies away from this year’s Royal Bunco Bash. Ladies braved the elements to join three McHenry County organizations to help fund programs for children throughout the county.
Adult & Child Therapy Services (ACTS), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA), three area organizations, joined together for the third annual Royal Bunco Bash.
The Royal Bunco Bash is a ladies-only evening that revolves around Bunco, an easy to play dice game. This year, about 200 ladies fought through wind, cold and snow to gather together at the Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry. Participants registered teams in advance and arrived to take part in this fun game night. Guests were treated to jewelry giveaways and desserts from Jaci’s Cookies in Woodstock.
The organizations would like to thank the major sponsors for the event; Rabine Group, Mercy Health System, Senator Pamela Althoff and Ink4Art.com. They would also like to thank Countryside Flower Shop, Ed’s Rental & Sales, See’s Candies and the Church of Holy Apostles for their various contributions.
Next year’s Royal Bunco Bash is planned to take place on January 18th, 2013.
